Polymer Science and Engineering, Statistical Thermodynamics, Molecular Simulation, Nanotechnology
Mission Statement and Values: Our lab advances knowledge and educates students through development of a deeper understanding of the properties of macromolecular materials and the processes by which they are formed, based on fundamental knowledge of their chemistry and molecular level structure. We do so primarily through the creative use of statistical mechanics, molecular modeling, experimental analysis and engineering judgement. We seek to develop intellectual leaders and responsible practitioners in our field. Our lab values integrity, quality and productivity in our work, objectivity and transparency in the dissemination of knowledge, an open and inquisitive ethos, and a work environment based on collaboration and respect. We welcome diversity in thought, expression and practice.
